Used to love this sauce in the 70s but when I tried it recently, I realized either the recipe had changed or my taste buds had because I couldn't finish the sandwich never mind the remaining in the pan. Given the price of chopped beef today, it doesn't have the "cheap meal value" feeling of years ago.

It agree. I make sloppy joes every once in a while, but the last time I made it, it tasted funny. It was just the regular flavor though, not the thick and chunky which I believe does taste better.

I tried that but it's a buy 3, get 15% off S&S but when you do 3, it only gives you 15% off one.

It is only good for 1, no matter which version. This offer is saving you 18 cents.

The benefit to the seller is that some people might forget to cancel the subscription and buy more at the full price. This "chance" cost the seller 18 cents per order.

I usually buy some onions and peppers, cut them up and add them to the sauce. Still a pretty easy and cheap way to make a sloppy joe. Good for car camping as well.

15% coupon is either regional or dead, not there for me.

Tried this recently after 40 years. It still had the same food stamp poverty flavor of my childhood.

With inflation, ground beef is so expensive that this is not much of a cheap meal at this point. Almost feel like i end up making high quality burgers with like brioche buns etc only with the price of beef now

I remember waiting in line Saturday morning to get bricks of that strange translucent cheese and huge cans of oily peanut butter.
