And it is being $250 more (over a fairly common $450) - so upgrading the RAM for $250 should not be a problem.

Don't forget the studio has 10gbe vs 1gbe on the mini

If you want to do anything with local LLMs or graphically intensive tasks the 2022 Mac Studio wins by a significant amount. A M4 Mac Mini with 32 GB of RAM is $999 new and that still won't get you the GPU.
