This is a very high dose. Above the Tolerable Upper Intake Level of 45mg https://nutritionsource.hsph.harvard.edu/iron/
UL:The Tolerable Upper Intake Level is the maximum daily intake unlikely to cause harmful effects on health. The UL for iron is 45 mg daily for all males and females ages 14+ years. For younger ages, the UL is 40 mg.

Not that high if you have iron deficiency or anemia. Adults will usually require a dose of at least 60mg/daily.

Some studies have shown good results from 65-100mg every other day to battle deficiency.
