Almost Bought the controller until I saw all the Most Recent reviews on Amazon. People are complaining about Losing Connection in the middle of a Game.

Recently purchased this on a similar deal. Plugging this into my PC cuts off the sound from my desktop speakers which are set to default. I go into the control panel's sounds settings and the speakers are no longer set to default. I have to manually reset them back to default each time. Never had any other game controller do this.

I don't own this controller but this might be a solution:
device manager > sound, video, and game controllers > right click the problematic audio device and click "disable"

Hopefully the controller portion will still work. Failing that, Turtle Beach tech support?

I had a few 1 hour gaming sessions with no problems. But my PC is not riddled with viruses & mailware like others; just pirated software. I'm in for two more to keep around. I seriously goofed up by using Rayovac AA's in my xbox controllers and they all leaked

The one I have not only disconnects from my Xbox X, but doesn't turn it on half the time. The disconnect is a physical fault with the controller, not software or malware or underwear. The cord has to be pushed upwards, because as far as I can tell, the C cable port is not properly soldered to the board. I spent too much time playing tag with TB support on the trying to get the "not turning on the Xbox" problem solved (never did) that I didn't even bother with the disconnect problem. The controller looks like garbage because of how I had to route the cord to keep it from disconnecting, but it works and I'll use it until some button, bumper, or trigger fails, then I'll toss it and not buy another TB product.
