That one doesn't accept custom eq's from Boom 2 users because Soundcore made it a separate model. If that matters to you it may be worth it to go with the Amazon one. Otherwise, yeah just save the $20 and go with the Costco version.

I've heard you can stereo pair the boom 2 with the Costco version, boom v2.

These sound exponentially better when you do this.

The speaker isn't big enough or high quality enough for the subtle differences between ppls EQs to sound radically different. Drag up the treble end if you use Bass Boost since it muddies mids, or leave Bass Boost off and manually raise low end to retain clarity of mids
