The issue is that Nintendo reportedly is only offering one cartridge size for Switch 2, 64GB, with an alleged cost of around $15+, so for many titles it's just not going to make practical sense at all, unfortunately for us consumers who want actual physical games. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 S in particular has multiple issues with the current scenario: the file size is way too small for a cart of that size to make sense, plus the cost of it, and also not being a big AAA game or full-priced release it can less afford to incur such a cost. This is the reality unfortunately and why we are seeing so many games go the Game Key Card route and the only way it can change is if Nintendo alters things and starts offering multiple cartridge sizes and at lower costs.

What's wrong with a key card? Most games require an update today so the game on the cart is out of date quickly. You own the key card game and it can be loaned or even sold. If you say the space, s2 games are generally much smaller than ps/xbox version so yea the HD on s2 is smaller but so are the games. I have like 7 games installed on my ps5 and out of space. So what is it people don't like about key cards?

While some of what you said is true there are points that I would contend with. Yes, many games have an additional update to download anyway, though there would still be some value in having a playable version on the cart as is. And if you are smart and make a backup of your full library in a way that is readily restorable then it should theoretically future-proof it. Also, the storage savings from having cartridges adds up and can really make a significant difference. At present my 512GB microSD card in my Switch 1 is actually completely full and that's with a predominate amount of physical games in my substantial library of titles. It's something I need to upgrade.

P.S. - you posting the same comment over and over again in each deal involving game key cards makes it come off like you are simping for them

Additional posts are to hope for an actual answer like this one. Lately it's just ranting about key cards and 👎 but not actual reasoning. What games do you have on your s2 that you have filled your internal and 512 card? Would having the game on a cart save that much space for you?

I spoke of my Switch 1, not Switch 2 (which I haven't picked up yet), though the example will extend to it regardless. Between game updates for many games and a lot of indie games the microSD card is full. And that's with mostly physical for AAA games. Imagine if they were digital as well. I basically already answered your last sentence.
