Good price, but not really a backpacking tent at 7.2 lbs weight these days, especially when implying "ultralight" with the "ultra". Also rather short at 80", better be using it by yourself if over 6'. I think there are better brands and tents to buy around this price that crop up for tents at weights between car camping and modern backpacking like the Marmot Catalyst 2 person that was $60 for quite a few months, at least last year. Maybe we won't be seeing deals like those with tariffs. Or maybe we will if people aren't buying as much.

Reviews are solid and I do like the full size to ground rain fly. I you are a weight weenie backpacker then spend another $200+ and save 2 lbs..lol. Actual weight according to a reviewer for the 2P tent is 6.4lbs and not 7.2lbs. My Alico Italian hiking/rock hopping boots with Norwegian sole probably weigh 4lbs+ since size 12W. My typical pack weight for 4-5 nights in our Sierras is usually 45-55lbs with a camera, water bottle extra (I use a life straw mostly) hanging from my old school exterior frame Jansport K2. So many great memories with this pack. Senior now and tried an internal pack a few years ago. Hated it as it pulled on my shoulders and carried no weight on my hips like the Jansport and others with the belt. EDIT: nice review on the Teton: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsUdlTQRFP8

My family has 2 of these (2p and 3p) we use for Scout camping. They are pretty well designed and definitely good quality. We have had a few drips in heavy rain. We like several design features such as the door shape and the "red corner" which helps match up the correct corner of ground cloth, tent body, and rain fly. I agree they should not call this a backpacking tent given the heavy weight. It's a car camping tent for sure. No brainer purchase at this price.

More of a car-camping tent than for backpackers. Much too heavy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vioWcVB3jeQ is for this model tent. 7 min setup everything in daylight.

For car camping, this Teton seems like a great deal, however.

Another Teton Tent (Vista model) with much faster setup B0817DFTHY $108: Marketing demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11zUAHpJGwY of tent setup for 1 model they make. Looks like 10 seconds to deploy in non-wet weather. Probably 60 seconds for rain conditions (need to put the rain-fly on) or if you need to secure it to the ground with stakes - so 2 min for full setup. The ventilation looks amazing.

At this price, I'm tempted for a quality tent - likely would get the tent + cot in the lower video for car camping, to have a camp seat and be off the ground all night.

"much too heavy"..lol. So the extra 2lbs is too much for you vs a ultra light tent? You can't be a backpacker.
