I have both a low pro and a regular profile and unless your vehicle is lowered, you shouldn't have a problem with the regular model shown here.

Daytona 3 Ton Low profile [harborfreight.com] probably still out of stock from the $99 deal a few weeks ago.

This $109 jack in the parking lot sale has worse minimum and maximum lift height than that low profile.

First off, Harbor Freight stuff is plenty reliable. When have you ever heard of people dying from Harbor Freight jacks failing? Second, always use jack stands, no matter the jack.

Got one of the Daytona jacks about a month or so ago and it is fantastic. Got it in orange. Super deal at these prices.

I have a BMW 3 series and this jack does fit under the axle to lift the car from the center, but it's tight. You have like 3" of clearance to pump it up at first. Not a big deal and it does work, but a low profile would be better in those situations.

Advance Auto has the DieHard 3 Ton floor jack on clearance for $102 after coupon. Is it worth paying more for this Daytona if I also have to pay to become an inside track member?

This is the jack in question: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com...d=IR-10451

Is it safe to trust my life with a harbor freight jack?
I trust this jack more than I trust the guy who thinks it's safe to work under a vehicle with just a jack supporting it.

I had a 2010 Accord. This jack was too high (just barely) to fit under the front center jacking point.

I'd have to drive the tires up onto some 1" boards first and then slide the jack under the car.

Not the same jack, fwiw. The Daytona in PF's test is the Super Duty version which is a beefier, heavier, and more expensive jack. Still, this is a widely well-liked jack.

Low profile seems unnecessary though unless you plan to work on 'slammed' vehicles - most vehicles have at least 5" of ground clearance. That said... they can sneak under benches for storage a little easier.
picked this up today. good deal, thanks.

I cannot get my lowpro jack under my GT-R. Like others here, I have to drive onto 1" ramps just to get the jack under it.

My car is not lowered. I have problems with the regular profile jack.
Low profile is definitely needed.

I use one jack and four jack stands. Raise one end, insert two jack stands. Raise the other end, Insert two jack stands. Don't forget to break off the lug nuts prior to raising the wheels.

Normally don't need to rebalance unless there is a flat spot on the tire. I static balance each tire only one time to 1/8 oz when new. The main purpose of tire rotation is to ensure even wear on the thread.

Awesome. Thanks for the tips. Jack stands make much more sense than buying multiple jacks.

Safety first cause most of us don't have on the job insurance. I like quality simple tools that last a long time and require minimum maintenance. My 30 lbs hydraulic jack still works after 40 years. Don't need to pay a lot more for convenience and bells/whistles.
