Isn't Barcelona a city where I've read that the locals have become a bit anti-tourist?

I flew Level (via Iberia) back in July from Boston. It was a nightmare. They abruptly cancelled our flight after 11pm, took forever to handout hotel vouchers, and it took hours to transfer everyone from the airport to hotel.

We were told they would rebook us via email. We called Iberia and they told us the info we received at the airport from Level was wrong. We were able to get on another flight out the next day to a different location (some went via Madrid, Paris and Zurich) but if you weren't a lucky one, you had to wait a few days before you could go.

I will never fly them again. Don't make the same mistake I did. I have traveled a lot, have had some interesting experiences at the airport with various companies, and I've never seen a circus like this.

No, it's a place where they're protesting over tourism. Over tourism is impacting their daily lives, and increasing their cost of living.
so.... yes?

Well, not really Barthelona. Since the local language is Catalan and not Spanish, and in Catalan it's pronounced Barcelona, closer to the English pronunciation.
The local language in "Ibitha" (Ibiza) is also Catalan, actually, only the official name of the island (in Catalan) is Eivissa.
Spain had a 40 year dictatorship during which Catalan was suppressed in favor of Spanish. Not anymore.
