I have a Greenworks mower that I love. However, I'm lazy and don't mow enough. I have the 48v that uses two 24v batteries.

I'm not sure how that works- and if a 40v with one battery would possibly be more powerful. Or, do I need to wait for 80v to see a big difference?

Great price for someone wanting to get started with electric- soooo much easier to mow when it just always starts right up.

I have ~1/3rd of an acre and have used my 21"40v for years. I had up until this summer a set of 4ah batteries that I was able to use about 1.5 for my entire yard. I just recently upgraded to the 8ah, but those are like 300 per battery. The 4ah were more than enough, and 5ah will be even better. I would not reccomed going any lower than 4ah,especially for mowing. The 40v line has been around for years and seems to be solid. I also always see a lot of 40 volt items for sale locally on my Marketplace for Fairly cheap so it's a great way to get into the battery line.

Not this but I have sunjoe 21 inch 48v mower with, 2 4ah batteries. 10k sq ft lawn. Battery covers 70% of the lawn. It is frustrating to wait for battery to charge again. . I mow weekly. Is greenworks better ?

The low ratings these greenworks get are always concerning. I'd like one but it always scares me off

I've had this same model for 2+ years now with no issues and I cut my grass every weekend. I will say you will need another battery if you have a decent size backyard and front yard. Also check the height adjustment as most of these don't go past 3.85", so if you want to mow 4" and above then you will have to make some creative adjustments. Overall I do think this is a good deal

This is a great deal. These things run strong for several years. My old 21" greenworks is running strong after 7 years. Just had to replace the charger. I'm a fan of both Greenworks and Kobalt.

I've had this model for 5 years. My lawn is thick St. Augustine, probably a quarter acre. The mower is ok but does not have the power to cut through really think grass with ease. It bogs down when the grass is too think; therefore, I cut it regularly. The one thing I do not like about it is that it does not cut my grass evenly leaving the cutting path higher on the left side than on the right. Not that noticeable unless you're picky, like me.

"think"...You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

How is this on steep hills? Wonder about tire gripping power, and whether its weight causes slippage when cutting across a slope. I cut most of my law with a zero turn, but have a hill I prefer to cut with a push mower for safety reasons.

I bought the 21" from Greenworks direct, wouldn't do it again. The return process was a hassle and it came DOA. I bought a 20" one that looks just like this one and it works fine. Bought from Walmart for easier returns if needed. Not sure if I will return for this one or not, think it was $25 higher and an inch smaller. But this is a good price if you get one that works, and easy to return to Walmart if it doesnt.

For this same price, I got the Hyper Tough (Walmart's brand) a couple months ago. It came with 2 batteries for a total of 40V I think. It works surprisingly great. Hold down the handle, press the power button, and it's working. Just bought the weed-eater too, but haven't tried it yet.

I have had the 20" greenworks mower for about 4 years. Much more convenient than my previous gas mower.
Compared to gas, it gets clogged more easily and does not pick up grass as well so i mow the same areas repeatedly for a perfect cut unless i mow every week.
I prefer the ease and convenience this provides to the superior power of the gas mower.
