was excited to see an actual data cable on SD, but this is 3x more expensive than what I paid on Ali for similar cables (yes, also braided, high-speed ones).

Do you have links to them? Have they been reliable?

Shorter cables like this are better, and have less issues than longer. But if you're on Windows 11, good luck running these with multiple monitors. Such a crap shoot if it'll work or not.

I use similar USB C cables from "Cable Matters" brand, and it's been great (besides stupid Windows 11 issues I mentioned). Daisy chain Dell monitors w/ a DisplayPort cable, and a single USC C cable to my Dell laptop to power the laptop and my displays.

I've been researching data cables, but still unsure - do MacBooks get full 20gbps or are they limited to 10gbps? Still trying to understand USB3/4 Thunderbolt 3/4 specs & compatibility.

Using this one, so far it's been reliable but I only use it for my 4K@60 monitor, so can't comment on max throughput. | 8K USB4 Type C Cable 40Gbps 240W PD3.1 QC4.0 For Samung Thunderbolt 4 Fast Charging Cable Thunderbolt3 USB C to C Data Transfer
