I was kinda salty I missed the one from AAFES the other day, got my order in for this one as soon as I saw this.
5090 FE cards are hard to come by, even this long after launch.
I guess my kid gets to inherit my 5080 now lol

The street prices are actually correcting to MSRP. Stock is catching up for both the 5080 and 5090. Once it reaches the critical point where any scalper profit is wiped out by fees, they drop out. Makes me think the super cards are around the corner so we can all deal with this BS again.

yeah they will lower some, but AIB's will always charge 300+ over msrp
I'm sure the super models will be right around the corner but they don't make TI or super 90 series cards so I should be good with this one for a time​

I saw them go up on AAFES 2 days ago. Before seeing someone posted here on Slickdeals. and got an order in. got email on the 11th saying expected to ship on or before 8/13. haven't received any emails besides that and the initial confirmation email. checked the order on shopmyexchange today and now it says Order Status: BackOrdered. Took me 3 attempts to get one ordered through AAFES too. First 2 attempts were back on July 27th. 1st time I logged in and it went out of stock right after I logged on. 2nd time I was able to add it to cart. Only for it to go out of stock while I was putting in my shipping and payment info. Wish I was up when this post was posted. Would of ordered one from NEX too. Because my cousin wants to build a PC too and is looking for one as well. I'm looking to build because my PC, which i built 8 years ago, recently broke. Been looking at have yet to see them come in stock on NEX. but have seen it come in stock 3 times on AAFES so far.

If/when the Supers do drop as people are saying/anticipating, it probably won't suck as much as the initial launch scarcity due to compounding factors.. the main among those being the fact that people are hurting right now due to job losses & price increases from tariffs, and are cutting unnecessary expenditures.
Other big factor is a lot of people who were looking to upgrade have already done so. Sure, some people might 'step up' to a super, but that number is likely much smaller than those who went after the 5080/5090 initially.
