10% overpriced, if you take the $1000 gpu off the price, does it cost $1500 to build 9900x? no it doesn't, the same parts cost less than $1000 when on sale so total parts with gpu is $2000, if you hire a local tech to put the parts together, it probably cost no more than $200 so $2200 would be more reasonable, maybe $2250 for the free shipping, so there's about $250 of profits to be shared between newegg and slickdeals

The RTX 5080 retails for maybe $1,200, so the remainder is selling for $1,300. CPU is a bit over $400. I would have preferred more USB-C ports over the preponderance of USB-A ports, but it doesn't seem like a terrible deal. Perhaps with a Ryzen 9900X3D, then we'd really be talking. Having built my own and also having hired a local tech to do it, there's something to be said for not having the hassle of collecting parts and making the build happen.

Never over pay for a PC like this one. In 2-3 years, you'll be sorry when its time to upgrade. Buy the fastest components and build your own at a discount.

Never heard of "Cobratype". Warranty probably useless or soon to be useless.

It would be nice if I could consistently find it for that price. Amazon deal seems to have sold out, and none are available at my nearest Micro Center. But I take your point.

This is the problem with slickdeals today vs 15,10, and even 7 years ago.

Staff post up links to anything and everything for that commission check.

When this was only user generated content and a legit upvote/downvote section, this place was amazing. After the shilling of any referral link started to happen, we are left with posts like this, where the staff posts qty vs quality just to get a that referral URL out, and has no idea what they are even posting.

Back in the day we only had a handful of options to find user generated deal content, and thankfully there are countless non-compromised places to find real deals today. It sure is sad what happened to this site.

I don't fault you, nor the owners here, because as traffic dwindles due to other options, you have to monetize as much as possible. Sadly this causes a snowball effect which causes even more people to stop using this place.

Builders get paid shit and are required to build it under an hour
