This is a decent deal. I specifically got the 16" over the 18" because it's smaller but it can do the job for most tasks. I'm no pro and I've cut down large trees with it. Just takes planning and patience to get the jobs done right.

It does leak a little oil from the chain lubricant. I've also had to replace the nut fastener once and also the chain prematurely.

But a 4 amp battery is pretty nice for the price. I probably wouldn't use a 4 because of weight, as the 2 seems fine to me for tasks. But I also have several battery spares now if a job does need more juice.

If you're interest in the 18" chainsaw here is another link. It comes with a 2ah battery and charger.

This also works with the elusive 80v pole saw tool/battery/charger combo taking the price down $170 before tax, originally $300! I added on the scabbard and extra chain, which pushed it just over $210 with tax.

Looks like this chainsaw will serve my occasion needs as a homeowner with some wood behind my house pretty well. This will give me two Greenworks 80V products and two 80V batteries. The 80V self-propelled Lawnmower works great. Way better than expected. Expect this saw to perform equally as well. I do have a Greenworks 40V string trimmer, hedge trimmer and blower. All work flawlessly. I've had an overall great experience with Greenworks products. I don't have any affiliation with Greenworks. Just have had a very good experience, and zero problems, with their products, over three years. Just my two cents.

mine leaked too so what I saw online was to just release the pressure by opening oil cap. no leak since.

Went for it. I already have other Greenworks 80v lawn equipment, and for the price it's worth moving from my corded chainsaw, and getting an additional battery.

I have a 2.5ah and a 4ah battery, and the weight difference isn't as much as I expected.

Thanks! I've been wanting the pole saw. I can use my Kobalt batteries with this with just a little customizing.

I have the 18" 80v 4ah. It cuts about 3 times through the base of a typical cottonwood around here before depleted. Yard cleanup of small trees, it will do fine and last a while. All day heavy cleanup would get annoying unless multiple batteries charging constantly, but then switching would get annoying (and like me, rarely near electric anyway). No lack of power. Heavier than my 455 Rancher, basically use it for backup or when handier not to pull starr. I just got an ms261 Stihl and will be using it even less (much lighter).
