Woot has EBL lithium rechargeable AAs as of this comment, grab those they are a much better deal and brand.

Based on the fact the EBL is garbage...
Any who, you have to really watch this rabbit hole. There are two styles of lithiums.
The first style is HIGHPOWER. These things will put out massive current with little voltage drop. The problem with them is high self discharge and the voltage cuts out at 1.3 volts ish. These also can get very hot in high power mode.
The second is the long shelf life version. These act like normal AA's. Lowish current(still more than normal AA), low heat, extreme slow self discharge. They also have a circuit in them that will all them to run in low voltage mode down to 1.1v. Thats the key to picking them out of the crowd.
So if you buy high power and pop them in your mouse, you will be recharging every few weeks. If you get long shelf life and pop them into something with a flash or high power led, its going to struggle to keep the voltage up.

Indeed, they have it.....but, they also do have a shorter life, and become troublesome sooner. I have a LOT of both, used heavily over years and my experience bears that out.

No. They are entirely different chemistries.

What I WAS emphasizing is that High CAP NiMh are in some fundamental ways not as good as Standard (~2000mAh) CAP NiMh.
For 1.5v lithium that WHOLE area is a 'wild west mess' for everything that is claimed.
It it pure buyer's beware. Educate yourself before entering. If you enter into the realm and are 'shocked and disappointed' you mostly likely don't understand the chemistry and have been sucked in by the marketing....which is full of seriously exaggerated claims.
Quality and reliability are very hard to determine.
I avoid buying battery by Brand name only (unless like Eneloop, Panansoic I'm sure they have their own factories) because most of them don't make the batteries, so the debate on those brand is pretty much meaningless as they can switch manufacturers anytime and could be some poor batches they acquired at pennies.
I used to use Tenavolts (and it's expensive) but they're manufactured by Nafu.
From ChatGPT, EBL does have their factories but I've only used their 9V (in fact 7.4V) lithium rechargeable many years ago, so not much comment.
Recently, I mostly used Deleepow (GRbatty) lithium rechargeable, it's made by Delipow in Shenzhen, at least a real manufacturer. So far I'm satisfied.
Many people don't understand 1.5V Lithium Rechargeables are using a step down voltage regulator to convert 3.7V to 1.5V. While lithium batteries can be drawn in high current (as a auot battery jump starter), but the voltage regulator cannot. Many of them would say not to be used with high discharge devices which can damage the regulator or not perform as expected, but many people ignore that.
