Lithium AA rechargeables are a total crapshoot. Bought one with the same charger and ended up just going back to non-rechargeable lithium AAs.

*had* - Woot is not Amazon, they have things for a few days and then they're gone. I checked on the EBL's and they're sold out. That said, what makes you say they're better? Based on what, exactly?

This is a good deal if they last, but I'm more of an Eneloop Pro fan myself. I use lithium AA in my Blink cameras.

Based on the fact the EBL is garbage...

Any who, you have to really watch this rabbit hole. There are two styles of lithiums.

The first style is HIGHPOWER. These things will put out massive current with little voltage drop. The problem with them is high self discharge and the voltage cuts out at 1.3 volts ish. These also can get very hot in high power mode.

The second is the long shelf life version. These act like normal AA's. Lowish current(still more than normal AA), low heat, extreme slow self discharge. They also have a circuit in them that will all them to run in low voltage mode down to 1.1v. Thats the key to picking them out of the crowd.

So if you buy high power and pop them in your mouse, you will be recharging every few weeks. If you get long shelf life and pop them into something with a flash or high power led, its going to struggle to keep the voltage up.

That is interesting. Is there any way to determine (without buying them) which brands are the long shelf like version?

The shorter lifespan of HIGH capacity NiMh vs "standard" capacity is a known trait that is largely ignored by the community. On top of that is quality. Some batteries are simply better than others, Eneloop is superior to almost any other NiMh. EBL market on their high capacity. Indeed, they have it.....but, they also do have a shorter life, and become troublesome sooner. I have a LOT of both, used heavily over years and my experience bears that out.
If you are curious about 1.5v AA lithiun I stongly recommend you look at this German review {translation required).

The EBL come out quite poorly,
