This seems to be a Panasonic sales promotion as all the authorized sellers seem to be marking it down to this price. So, if you want to buy it from your favorite camera store instead of Amazon, it's available there too. (I checked Focus Camera, Adorama, and B&H all have this price)

And many of those stores include accessories for no extra cost. Shop around depending on if you want a lens with the camera.

Sorry but the lack of grip on this thing doesn't even interest me. It must be so uncomfortable to hold. The aftermarket grip is so small that it doesn't look like it makes that much of a difference.

Agreed, but I have a couple of these guys: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MS1LV74 and I think it'll work with the body.

crippled by no EVF making it very difficult to see the subject on a sunny day. Also not water proof/resistant and no hot shoe. I see the Nikon Zf and Sony a6600 as much more attractive.

There are so many options for aftermarket grips with different depths.

Agree that no EVF is an issue, so is no mechanical shutter, but Zf is a substantially bigger camera and a6600 is crop sensor. So not really alternatives.
