Awesome movie!
For instance he gets stuck in traffic for hours only to find the construction workers sitting around. So he takes out an anti tank rocket launcher and fires it at their equipment. I think most of us having been stuck in traffic only to see the "workers" all sitting around on their phones as one guy actually works have been this upset, but we also fear jail and have a lot more to lose than gain by confronting the BS. This guy loses it and confronts anything that he deems wrong.

People that admittedly identify with the main character, D-FENS - not people that "like the movie."

Nowhere did I say that the movie wasn't great.
But I also think sympathizing with the main character who is the antagonist as discussed by the WRITER'S OF THE FILM is a wild take.

the only one that is racist in the film gets called "a sick butthole" by the antagonist. Antagonist just has nothing left to lose and is all out of patience for things that really shouldn't be how they are. That might be considered the ultimate freedom, if you're a music fan.

Imagine being assaulted, robbed, having drive bys done on you, fighting back and winning those conflicts before breakfast. And all you want is breakfast before the next war begins, but its 2 minutes past breakfast menu, at the place that in modern times is known for its breakfast since their fries an burgers that made em famous have changed. I'm always surprised by how willing people are to out themselves by admitting they identify with D-FENS, missing the point of the movie completely. Like all of those stockbrokers who told Oliver Stone that they were inspired by Gordon Gekko. I suppose you could characterize America as filled with people who fantasize about shooting up a McDonald's because they're unhappy with the quality of the fast food.
Most of us wouldn't because if not fear of hell, then fear of jail keeps us in line.
This movie was quite enjoyable to watch as a man allows himself to indulge the devil on his shoulder. It doesn't make him a good guy, but it is entertaining and at least in my case I can sympathize with some of his outrage.
Let me ask you, in the scene where he's sitting on an empty step in a field and two gang members approach him telling him to pay up because it's their step.. what would you do?
