Is 850w enough for power spikes on gpu still? Even several years ago it would have been reccomended to go up to a 1000w. Typically those spikes are as high as double the draw of the max load.

yyes absolutely if it's a quality PSU i use an 850w psu on my pc with 5900x and 6900xt gpu so virtually identical power requirements but i also have a bunch of storage devices sucking up power, never come close to the max.

I use 850w with my 9800x3d and 5080 with zero issues so it should be fine.

yup, combined it with two $75 Amex offers and 10% cb. I went through bank of America deals site for even lower price of $1526 - $150cb - $150 AMEX offers.

I think I was there for that, but I thought you said the 10% CB didn't work? Did you get that fixed?

Sorry, that was SilverFire, he said the 10% CB didn't work for him. https://slickdeals.net/f/18494104-legion-tower-5-gen-10-30l-ryzen-7-7800x3d-rtx-5070-ti-32gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-1707-74?sort=oldest&page=4#commentsHeader

Depends on the game and your settings, but generally yes.

You can build this with a 5080 for the same price nowadays.

5070 ti with Lenovo build quality, warranty and great support, or 5080 with DIY build quality, laughable individual warranties, and no Windows license.... i'm more a Column B type, but i'm also a masochist.

i didn't look real hard but this doesn't seem like that good of a deal. The original list price is laughable.

Maybe in a few months and if this was a 5080 super, could be decent at this price.
