op sounds like he only knew anout trio deal. and this duo is completely new to him. i thought they invented the duo months before the trio got into the ads

That is what I do. If they give free any size fries, get the large fries to max that option out and get like two cheap hamburgers.
yes, the 2 cheap hamburgers were what i said on the previous post. their hamburger isnt cheap though. they are smart enough not to make those hamburgers as a cheap sub for their whoppers. they dont even grill or add whopper flavor to the patty.
Ex. I was able to once combine the Grimace meal (remember that?) with a 20% off $8 offer on the McDonald's app. I cannot do that now for the new meals they have out.

EDIT: The Wednesday Whopper deal started years ago for about $1 for a Whopper on Wednesdays. Then just a couple of years ago became $2, and then quickly $3, and even more quickly -- here in California at least -- it is now a Whopping $3.99. This is in comparison to the local Whopper price of $7.59 (your price will vary by your location). I'm curious if your Wednesday Whopper price is also $3.99 across the country now, and how that compares to your regular Whopper price.
Perhaps someone can start a table for Whopper Wednesday price and regular price for different locations.

they dont stop from there. i see they start to play more tricks recently to cut down the cost. from no more ketchup & napkins available at the counter or we ran out of pickles, just to save some more pennies.
