I use similar (see link below) and they are now $4.99 on sale (at least under my account), works very well and they are large. I bought 2 boxes and use 4 balls in the dryer (personal preference, no scientific evidence if 4 work better than 3)

Also, I would recommend trying HEX detergent, it works for us so well removing sweat smells, tide does not remove those smells.

Got these the last time they were on SD. Works great and replaced old plastic type. Looks new after a month of use.

Can one use these and experience no need for dryer sheets?

Is this really a good deal? I recently purchased two six packs for $6.99 each.

These were around 2.75" across.

Are the OP listed version actually larger?

Didn't know that you need to use witchcraft to get rid of the sweat smell https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcra..._hexspell/

Thank You !! Bought this instead. Is bigger balls better than small balls ? how many balls do you use each time ? Thanks

We've completely stopped using dryer sheets after switching to these (not this brand particularly). They work well!

Bigger vs smaller balls: Larger wool balls tend to tumble better, beat the clothes apart more, and retain heat longer. That usually makes them more effective than smaller ones.

How many to use:

Light loads → 2–3 balls is usually fine.

Medium/large loads → 3–4 balls is common.

Extra-large loads / bedding → 5–6 balls if you have them, since more balls improve airflow and drying.

For big blankets, etc - I usually air dry them so you would have to experiment with large loads

I don't know if it's indicative of quality, but that main photo isn't very impressive.
But plenty of good reviews, so it's probably fine.

I looked at the various listings on wool dryer balls. The one in the OP is about the same: 2.75".
Some of the other ones are listed as "XL" or 3" in diameter, and those cost a little more.
Some of the cheapest ones are slightly smaller: 2.6".

As far as I can tell, Cleancult is a known "brand" (that sells a lot of different products) so that's what you're paying extra for.
