Don't be fooled by the "surge protection". They don't advertise clamping voltage. Looking at their more premium model Anker 351 (this one is model 341), the clamping voltage is 1200V (you want 400V or lower clamping voltage generally as a good figure) which makes it useless for surge protection purposes.

I would treat this model as more of an extension cord. Don't buy it for surge protection.

Why surge protectors rarely specify the clamping voltage but joules? The higher joules are, the lower clamping voltage is?
I don't know why clamping voltage is always hard to find, but good surge protectors will often specify somewhere. Joules and clamping voltage are completely separate metrics.

Do you know a reliable lower clamping voltage surge protector?
