Don't be fooled by the "surge protection". They don't advertise clamping voltage. Looking at their more premium model Anker 351 (this one is model 341), the clamping voltage is 1200V (you want 400V or lower clamping voltage generally as a good figure) which makes it useless for surge protection purposes.

I would treat this model as more of an extension cord. Don't buy it for surge protection.

Only one USB-C? Pass.

Have contemplated this one recently for $20 but they jumped the price up again: https://a.co/d/gFXVaOq

if it does, then that means your house breaker is likely broken.

when a spd doesn't list the clamping voltage steer clear...prob over 500v on these. good ones are usually 330v.

thanks for your comment, I actually bought this a few days ago, but I had no idea about clamping voltage and such. I'll think about returning it.

Do you mean the lower clamping voltage is, the better to be against the lightning?

Yes, correct.

Quick summary from Gemini AI:
Clamping voltage is the maximum voltage allowed to pass through a surge protection device to sensitive electronics during a power surge event. It represents the voltage level that the surge protector "clamps" or limits the voltage to, protecting the connected equipment from damage. A lower clamping voltage indicates better protection because it means less excess voltage will reach the device.

Why surge protectors rarely specify the clamping voltage but joules? The higher joules are, the lower clamping voltage is?
