Avoid it like plague. Worst airline ever.
Terminal crew is straight out of Popeyes Chicken.
If you didn't have any previous bad experience then it's a miracle. Luck will eventually run out.
Never buy for family trips. Will assign kids solo seats.

contact support and mention you're cancelling and ask for a retention offer of some kind?
There is no support! Online email and chat. Best of luck when it's urgent.

I have flown them several times with kids and never had an issue. Even had once they put the kids in the exit row seating and had to move us, but moved us to the extra leg room seating. Just flew them in July and was super smooth, flight crew was kind. The one thing that is annoying is them trying to sell their credit card during the flight, but you learn to just ignore the talking.

Came to say the same thing. I wouldn't fly Frontier again if they paid me to fly. The absolute worst airline.

In case anyone is interested, I spoke to an agent on WhatsApp (don't bother with the chat agents from their website, they are awful) and they were able to help extend my existing Discount Den membership for a year.
You have to cancel your existing membership and book a flight, then have an agent manually extend your membership. When you "cancel", your membership is still valid through the expiry date so the new booking will not prompt you to add a new subscription.

Choose 1 way instead of round trip. I found a LasVegas to San Diego. 9/10.

From my research, any merger / buyout spirit was offered was blocked or rejected. They are two separate companies and spirit just got out of bankruptcy by cutting routes.
that's a rosy picture dig some more. spirit is circling the bowl

last Monday, Spirit filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stating that "there is substantial doubt" about its future. this was mandated by the outside auditors as to their 2nd quarter earnings

"Because of the uncertainty of successfully completing the initiatives to comply with the minimum liquidity covenants and of the outcome of discussions with Company stakeholders, management has concluded there is substantial doubt as to the Company's ability to continue as a going concern within 12 months from the date these financial statements are issued,"

The airline warned that it will need additional cash to avoid defaults and will attempt to sell aircraft, real estate, or airport gates in order to raise the needed cash.

the airline stated they will be "moving away from the elements of the business that no longer work," including "strategically growing our network in stronger markets with more opportunities and making some difficult decisions like re-evaluating unprofitable routes."

the Association of Flight Attendants put out a memo warning Spirit flight attendants to take stock of their personal finances.

i have a couple flights booked thru them in September. for travel in October & December won't book unless low prices pop up Would definitely book cancellable reward travel on other airline (SWA) as 'insurance'

Got it. I was unaware a discount den purchase could be made without being a member.
Also, I see the DD is automatically renewed.
Thank you.

Flew them last month, no issues, personal item only.

Grabbed a $15.98 flight for the free membership. Works great for a small family as many flights are "kids fly free" w/ Den membership.

unclear whether if you cancel your membership after paying for the year (or getting it free) you lose the benefits immediately, or if it just turns off auto-renew. Their site is obviously designed to confuse in that regard ...
