Just buy and cancel the flight within 24 hours. I did the famous Lax - LAS for $16.

Avoid it like plague. Worst airline ever.
Terminal crew is straight out of Popeyes Chicken.
If you didn't have any previous bad experience then it's a miracle. Luck will eventually run out.
Never buy for family trips. Will assign kids solo seats.

Why would you cancel early? It took me 30 seconds to make a reminder on my calendar to cancel the membership on 8/18/2026. Even added the link to the profile page that has a very easy to find "cancel" button for the Discount Den.

Since no one is giving a concise answer, here's a datapoint. Booked a one way ticket with discount den addon during reservation. Confirmed the discount den membership valid for a year. Cancelled the booked flight within 24 hour eligibility. Checked discount den is still active. This is within an hour of activity, so I can't guarantee if the membership will stick if I check the next day or so.

It's actually cheaper to book two tickets together than one with today's sale. I booked DEN to DTW for Sep 3 and it showed $64 for one person but $28 x 2 for 2 people. Not sure what the point of two Den memberships would be since the discount can be shared.
