It would be useful if it were on a better airline. Frontier, has been, in my experience the most likely to cancel a flight, & the most unhelpful when a flight is canceled. I'm super cheap but I won't fly with them anymore (and I still use Spirit, Sun Country, Ryan Air, etc.)

If you fly Frontier and buy any add-ons at all, this pretty quickly pays for itself. Just a carryon a few times pays for this.

a big benefit of gold status is being able to choose the better seats. if everyone has it, which is about to happen, that perk goes to shit. it'll be the same deal as it's been with the free carryons, which gives you zone one boarding....and zone one boarding and forced checked carry-ons is an absolute shit show now.

this is going to make frontier much worse for the regulars

Seems like a killer deal, just can't do frontier only airline to ever completely strand us with no help from in terminal customer support and it was hours long wait times to get someone on the phone who were equally unhelpful. Costco Citicard travel protection came in clutch. I still love spirit but they no longer fly out of seatac.

Same. Fly multiple flights a week for $16 with Go Wild and use Gold to upgrade seats and get free carry on.
