Actually what happens is a fuse burns out to prevent the motor from burning out. I found the fuses before (not sure where anymore) and if you're handy you can replace them.

I've had it happen on two occasions, and i still have the dead ones but I can't find the fuses. If you're inclined, you can fix them..There's even a video or pictures of the repair somewhere (again, I don't remember where).

These are one of my most liked fans. The blades will never hurt anyone, they're great for hot summer nights when you can't stand a large fan blowing on you, and they're whisper quiet. Fantastic product, except for the mystery fuses....

bought one of these off woot almost 20 years ago and had it as a desk fan for over a decade. They are great for that use. I'm in for this.

I bought one of these from morningstar for $7 in Spring to use for the Summer... I never took it out of the box and it is now August 20 😐

This my favorite little desktop fan, especially at work. They don't take up much space, they won't hurt anything with the cloth blades, and they look cool. I bought my first one in May 2014, a year later one of the bearings started to make noise. I contacted Zippi, they asked that I cut the cord and send them a pic, and they sent me a replacement for free. It's running on my desk as I type. At $8 and change per, this is a no-brainer buy.

nice! I'll be looking into this later. I am decently tech/repair savvy. I have an assortment of fuses already so I I'll either get it up and running again immediately or be adding a new spot for these fuses in my fuse plano lol.

I've had a Zippi fan like this for over 10 years. Used it at my office daily. I think I paid $17 for it back then.

I think for $7.50 each, it's a pretty killer deal.
