Got Mirage Master edition on Xbox for $24.
The story makes no sense. It's obvious they made some last minute changes and the villain confrontation is so baffling because he comes out of nowhere. I was honestly scratching my head multiple times. Even if I were a kid again when I used to ignore those aspects of video games, I think the story would have irritated me. I couldn't even muster up the mental energy to do the DLC content because the main story was a huge drag.
There's a lot of mediocre stuff that gets praised on Slickdeals but this one confuses the hell out of me. Maybe it's the Egypt exploration that gets people into it but the praise for the gameplay is baffling.
I hadn't played an AC game since 2011, and I remember finding AC2 really fresh and fun at the time. I know people hate AC for being repetitive, but I assumed it was because they play these games regularly. Even with a 14 year gap, I found this game dull and boring. I don't know if AC2 and Revelations were like this too and I wasn't as tired of open world repetition at the time, but this game didn't have the same enjoyability as those early games.
