If you are still wondering whether to get it or not: the voice acting alone in this game makes it SOOOOOO worth it. Can be a bit repetitive but which game isn't? Loved it!

I'm currently playing this one, if you can play it at 4K@60FPS you're gonna get an awesome experience. Map is huge, I came from old AC games, from 1 to Rogue, and this is the first one RPG which BIG map, I don't see too much value on getting the Deluxe or Gold edition, just the secondary missions alone are gonna keep you busy for hours, you can spend 100 hours easy on this game just with the base game. It's included on Xbox Game Pass. Base game definitely worth $6.

The story in this game is terrible. The map is huge and beautiful. Main good thing. There's a lot "to do" but it's pointless filler with mediocre character models and voice acting, especially the side missions. This is my problem with Ubisoft games. They disguise repetitive and generic crap as content and make their games seem long but you play the same tired recycled stuff over and over. They are a perfect example of quantity vs quality. There's also nothing unique or interesting about the missions, especially the side missions and random events, versus other games where the main process is the same, but at least you meet an interesting character or have a fun encounter (like GTA or RDR series).

The story makes no sense. It's obvious they made some last minute changes and the villain confrontation is so baffling because he comes out of nowhere. I was honestly scratching my head multiple times. Even if I were a kid again when I used to ignore those aspects of video games, I think the story would have irritated me. I couldn't even muster up the mental energy to do the DLC content because the main story was a huge drag.

There's a lot of mediocre stuff that gets praised on Slickdeals but this one confuses the hell out of me. Maybe it's the Egypt exploration that gets people into it but the praise for the gameplay is baffling.

I hadn't played an AC game since 2011, and I remember finding AC2 really fresh and fun at the time. I know people hate AC for being repetitive, but I assumed it was because they play these games regularly. Even with a 14 year gap, I found this game dull and boring. I don't know if AC2 and Revelations were like this too and I wasn't as tired of open world repetition at the time, but this game didn't have the same enjoyability as those early games.

yea, basically you go to a mission marker npc, see what they want, kill the target(s) / capture a fort / find missing items, and report back to the NPC. Keep on repeat.

it's an Ubisoft game, this is their formula. However this game is solid. I think the new AC peaked with odyssey - but this is easily worth the 6 bucks.
