These don't stack with Costco ones. Likely don't stack with Lowe's ones also. When I say don't stack I found the Costco ones on the bottom of stack and these ones on top of stack works tho

I bought some from Office Max and they didn't stack with these either. They were an odd shape. Always thought they were all the same.

Correct. These are not cross-compatible.

These are actually really good. There are some comparison videos on YouTube comparing these different variants (stability, bottom flexing under weight, etc.), and these do pretty well. Bought a bunch during the summer whenever they drop to this price (once a month or so), no regrets!

These are the ones you want over the Lowes brand. I have never had issues with the homedepot totes.

Do you happen to know if the Lowe's ones are compatible with those from Costco?

These have been $8 bucks for the last 2 months at my local Home Depot - its standard price these days.

Generally speaking, you shouldn't assume that these would stack with any other storage crates of similar volume, but different brand. That would make too much sense for the consumer and zero sense for business.

Pretty sure all brands hold up pretty well as long as you don't put your 45lb plates in there! I've got a mixture of brands and they all seem to do ok.
