No rumble features? I own a wireless version of the powerA gc controller for switch and thought my controller was broken because it wasn't rumbling when it was supposed to. Upon further investigation, the controller didn't have rumble motors.

I've had the original wireless version for five years and it's held up amazingly. The build quality on the wired version is no different. No Hall Effect sticks and mine has suffered from drift, but I know how to repair them (usually replace the wiper inside the pot and clean it with alcohol).

Works on Switch 2, but cannot wake the system. AFAIK, there are no third party controllers that will wake the Switch 2 from sleep.

There are a few that do. Some existing controllers need a firmware update to do so

It just a basic wired controller with a retro design. For $20 it a good price. This ain't junk

I absolutely do not recommend anyone buy a PowerA controller.

I just recently bought the wireless version secondhand on ebay and I was flabbergasted by the build quality, especially considering it's MSRP (I paid $25 for it used but PowerA charges $70 for the wireless version). It was so low-quality feeling in my hands that I'm returning it and eating the shipping costs.
I have also owned a wireless PowerA Switch pro controller that I got for my daughter to use and I feel like that thing was garbage too.

Being an officially licensed product, I would expect the build quality to be better. Sure, maybe they last a long time and don't break but they feel so incredibly cheap in your hands. Like a child's toy with the cheapest plastics they could find. The shoulder buttons are wobbly and rattle around, the cheap plastic of the sticks bang against the cheap plastic of the gates around them and the whole thing (without batteries) weighs less than a candy bar.

Having used 8bitdo, GameSir, and Gulikit controllers, I just can't recommend anyone buy a PowerA controller anymore. For less money, you're getting a much more premium product if you go with any of those companies.

Sure, none of them have a gamecube style controller so there is that but I just can't do it.

If you're looking for a wireless Gamecube style option, you'd be better off buying a used official GC controller off ebay for $20 and then buying 8bitdo's GC controller mod kit for $25. For $45, you're getting a much better product than what PowerA is offering.
