While I had it, it felt very solid. The arm is made of metal and overall the whole thing is fairly heavy for it's size. The magnetic attachment is strong and it came with a couple of pieces of real 3M double-sided tape. Wish it would have worked for my needs.

I have purchased 4 MagSafe car mounts from them. The first 3 have all lasted about 6-8 months, then they stop charging.
They're cheap so I just buy another one when they die.
If that is your idea of quality, then I agree with you.
