This is the kind of phone you purchase, activate, and throw in the center console or glove box in case you ever have an emergency. And then you give it to your kid to use at home or in the car or plane for games, movies, reading or whatever.
Or it can be the at-home device for family members to use as a TV remote, control your smart devices, air conditioning and whatever.

So many vast uses for a phone like this.

It's a no-brainer at $40, tax included!

Just my $0.02. To each their own!

Its pathetic when one person likes to thread crap without providing any competing better offers. And that is simply because there are no viable alternatives in this price range for phone plus service. Trac has been my go to for all four kids for years. The great thing about these plans if you can keep stacking service plans, so need twice as much time is as easy as buying the next tracfone deal or buying two of these and combining the plans.

Just received this phone from the most recent $47 HSN deal and it has some app that installs a few junk game apps, tiktok, temu, Facebook etc but they're easily removed and the app can be disabled.
The phone feels pretty snappy once that was done. Had the latest update installed and didn't notice any lag. Coming from the Moto g play (XT2413V) it has been worth the upgrade just for the NFC capabilities but the 120hz screen, 5G esim and FM radio are also nice to haves.
Cool thing about the FM radio is you can plug in headphones as the antenna and then set the output to Bluetooth or the phones speakers, you can also record radio streams from the same app.
Solid budget phone imo.

Probably but I'd rather use something with 60 fps. You are locked to 1080p 30 fps with this.

I wouldn't risk that, Tracfone sometimes has problems with sim swapping. Best to just register a pre-existing number to the current phone+sim that came with it, that hasn't had any issues. If you already have a tracfone number, you don't swap the sim, you activate under tracphone activation and use "keep number" activation, then activate this phone with the prior tracfone number that will add your service to this new phone.

Yeah.. none of that's real.
I've used prepaid numbers with both my banks for 2FA and have had 0 issues. The only time you might run into an issue is if you have a Google voice VoIP number but we're not talking about google voice.

Tello, tracfone, US Mobile, Infimobile. All of those numbers worked without any issue.

Do not boo who this item that has listed for us to enjoy at a very low price. I bought a similar phone for three times the money with only 2 months of service. $40 delivered and you complain? I find that irresponsible toward our fellow community members. I really do feel that this post was an excellent buy and did not earn the disrespect of your disfavor.
