My eco drive is 25 years old, and doesn't look much different than this. I have to change the "battery" on very rare occasions but other than that it's been great.

Citizen Eco-Drives are about the best watch you can buy for less than $1000. This is titanium too so will be super lightweight.

Sapphire Crystal on this is a Super +++ If you haven't tried Titanium... it's not going to "feel" premium, it's very light and tinny but that's why they make jet planes with it. On watches, it's great for lightness but feels cheap, but also scratches easier than steel. Still a great watch, great specs, will last a lifetime.

I am disappointed in my citizens watches. I have 2 eco drives. One only holds a charge for about a day if I am lucky. It is normally dead by the morning. The other won't even keep running sitting in the sun. The one that is completely dead is about 8 or 9 years old. The other is about 5. As much as I liked them....I won't be buying them again. I emailed citizen 4 times trying to ask if there was anything I can do with them. Not one reply.

According to the Citizen website based on the model number listed on Amazon, yes

Sorry to hear about your Eco-drive experience. I've had many Eco-drive watches (currently have 3), so far so good (oldest one is > 10 years). I do a lot of outdoor activities (and have the watch tan lines to show); never a problem with these watches.
Make sure you're fully charging the watch; leave your watch under the sun for 2 days; then see if it still dies quickly. Indoor lighting doesn't charge these watches sufficiently.
Anyway, an orange one is coming my way... don't currently have an orange dial. The orange dial and leather strap will limit its use case (i.e. it you don't have multiple watches, probably best not buying the orange one).

Crazy how much copy they can have on this watch without saying it's a "Quartz" movement with a solar rechargeable battery.

Seems like you need to change their batteries. Those last 10+ years with minimal outdoor use, so you should be ok, once you replace the batteries.

I was between this watch (in blue) or the Casio Oceanus OCW-T200S-7AJF (white) as my cheap-o travel watch. I just bought the Oceanus 2 days ago for $315 shipped (this watch was listed at around $308 on Jomashop). I would've definitely gone Citizen had I seen this price back then.

That said, if anyone is feeling bold and wants a pop of color, the orange dial on brown leather is only $175. That's a steal, to be honest!
