Find me this magical dish which only has a $2 markup, and only a $1 fee! It's a bare minimum of $8-12 in fees, or more, before the massive tip that is expected simply as a baseline.
I can't speak for where you live, but a 10-15% markup is extremely common in my area.
hell, there are multiple restaurants in my area with zero markup.
plus, the $1.10 fee is if you have dash pass - they charge a 5% service fee.

let's do a real world example. say you want to buy some food that would cost $20 at the store but the door dash price is $22 (not unreasonable)so $22.- $10 promo+ $1.10 service fee (5% if you're a Dash pass member. I'm also assuming a 0 delivery fee restaurant, of which there are many)so now you're at $13.10. (I live in a no sales tax state)even if you tip $6, you're still looking at $19.10, less than if you bought it in store. but the real savings is if you buy a door dash gift card at a 20% discount, which you can easily do at Costco. if you don't have a Costco membership, you can easily find them for ~15% off at sites like GCX.So now that $19.10 is effectively costing you $15.28, which represents a ~24% discount from buying it in store, plus you don't have to get off your ass to get it.

No, it's not an unlimited 50% off any purchase but it's very rare for any code at any vendor, to have no cap.

So not actually a 50% code. This crap should be false advertising.
Speaking of crap, this reply certainly meets the definition of the word.
EDIT: Called in and they said the Chase Sapphire DashPass is different.

Interestingly Uber has started to give out more codes that work on pickup whereas before it was very rare for them.
Not worth to me. All my places are within walking distance. I only jump when it's pickup.
