Priority data depends on the tower and load. Basically in cities in areas where towers might be overloaded, high priority data can make a big difference. It might be that you get like 5 Mbps, or you might not even be able to load a webpage in very crowded conditions. Otherwise, it won't. A good article is this one. From what I've heard, Verizon (US Mobile Warp, Xfinity) because they only have 2 priorities and a lot of customers, being on QCI sucks in cities, while AT&T and T-Mobile are generally not as big of a deal to be on lower priority.

Xfinity is QCI 8 (high priority) on Verizon network already, so being on Warp will have the same experience. But the nice thing about US Mobile is you can go to AT&T or T-Mobile networks (they call them Dark Star and Light Speed respectively), which could have much better results in your area in mall parking lots.

Though because they have all 3 networks there are some differences. On Unlimited Starter, 70 GB cap is for T-Mobile and Verizon, while AT&T is uncapped. And then for Unlimited Premium, T-Mobile doesn't get higher priority data. The details are in the "Varies by network" link on the plan page.

Not sure how long you have to activate, in the past it has been either 30 or 90 days, but you can check/ask reddit.com/r/usmobile or their chat to confirm which

good deal, but remember it'll renew at the regular price in a year. I'm on usmobile right now, and their coverage, network speeds (on Verizon) and customer service are stellar. if you don't mind renewing at regular price, I think it's a great deal.

Looking to switch from AT&T to US Mobile on Verizon network. This is a pretty good deal?
Really depends on your area, but I did the same thing last year and its been great. Cool thing about it is if verizon is congested in your area you can network transfer from vzw to att. I've been happy with them.

They changed the policy to be any line with US Mobile by the end of Aug 18, not that it helps any new customers
does that mean that if by the end of Aug 18 I was on Dark Star with the cheapest 8 dollar a month plan, in the future I will be grandfathered with priority data if I switched to Warp?

Only Verizon/Warp has a network spam blocking option. If you're on Android, Pixel and Samsung Galaxy spam block works well. I hear the upcoming iOS 26 might finally get something similar but until then it will depend on how many spammers got your number. My parents get a ton and Samsung's blocker works great, me and my SO get none even with spam phone block off

Really good deal for Unlimited Starter. It's actually cheaper than the Mint $180 deal, as the true cost of that one is $205 after fees. The Mint deal has only 35GB of priority data vs "technically" unlimited for this USM promo, with all three carriers available. If I knew this would be available, I might have stayed with USM, but my account expired on the 17th so I moved to Mint.

Pixel phone user, so never see 99.99% of the spams anyway. The AI based spam detector works pretty darn good, both for text messages as well as phone calls.

anyone with existing plan that's about to end tried calling them and talk to customer service about any deals for current subscribers? My year is up soon and I was gauging interest in Mint Mobile if they won't have a deal for me.

I tried them a few days ago but couldn't activate because of a coupon code issue. Their support is non-existent. They were completely uninterested in helping me send them money. So I got a refund and went with Visible.
My suggestion is avoid US Mobile if you think you will ever need to reach out to their support, because it sucks.

I usually hear reports of the opposite in terms of support between the two, but well, everyone has different experiences.

I've had no problems with US Mobile support, but have seen insurances where a representative incorrectly said something was possible and it was not and they refused to honor it.

You can port number out to a cheap first month mvno prepaid service and then port back in as a new customer?

Edit: if promo doesn't accept your number then you may need to wait 15 days to activate while still continue service with that other mvno service. Secondly you'll likely lose priority data privilege if new customer after August 18.

Which buttons don't work for you? They all seem to work on my PC and Android Chrome browser.
