So far I've just pushed on the forward or reverse button and let it go until it won't turn any more and then keep turning it by hand with reasonable force and it works past the torque limit. So far the screwdriver kit has not broken yet even after doing this for a while.

I wouldn't recommend it for assembling flatpack furniture though, as the torque insufficient and battery runs out quicker on heavy tasks.

Yep this 100%. I have this set as well.
Get this if you work with small screws weekly. Laptops/cellphones/etc. For this task it's magical, it's very lightweight and get the job done.
Do not get this for anything larger. It will not work.
Will add that this case doesn't fit in backpacks well, the flat carrying case is better. This one is a bit cumbersome.
Stacked it with a 10% off coupon and got it for $38. Not bad but not the advertised price

I instead went with a Dewalt Flexdrive: https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-4...> <br /> .
Combine it with a 1/4" to 4mm bit adapter, and you have a powerhouse that can do many DIY projects around the house, while also handling the electronics use-cases that the underpowered ones can't fully handle.
ALWAYS put the screw bit holder back in the case as soon as you get the screw bit you needed.
If it drops all 49 bits will go far and wide. it will be like finding a marriage material woman in OF to get all your bits
talking from experience.

I went with the Dremel version of the Dewalt mentioned because I wanted the adjustable torque collar. My first one died about month 6, but Dremel sent me a replacement no questions asked. I've got over a year on the replacement and I'd buy another at this point if it died again. The adjustable torque collar mashes a huge difference on for applications where I don't need much force behind it.
