Mine will be in very pleasant closet/drawer ... with few worries ... living it up ... to be used a few hours a month, then placed back in bed to sleep some more. For faster speeds and more rugged stuff I use SSD/NVMe drives (solid state, no moving parts).

Is there a quick and easy way to dock my phone to this to download all the photo and video I take, say once a month? I'm paying for Google drive cloud Storage right now, but of course as you use more the annual price keeps going up. Better off going with an external drive like this one?
Not exactly what you're asking for, but I use an android app called FolderSync (the free version) to back up to a mini PC I have always on at home. I set up an ssh key to do it securely. Every night when I plug in my phone, it backs up any new photos I've taken automatically. It takes some setup, but I thought I would share that in case you find it useful. Automatic backup is a little more convenient.
Also, if you have a Synology NAS, Synology has an app called Cloud Sync which will backup your cloud data to your NAS. You could setup your phone to backup to a cloud account and then have the Synology backup the cloud data locally.
Edit: The Amazon description says it'll recognize up to 24TB, most probably it'll recognize 26TB. Usually the size advertised is what was available at the time the enclosure was made and tested.

Do you know about QUICK CONNECT on your android phone. You can use it on PC, any android phone, etc... and you share files for FREE ... my advice is research it and maybe watch youtube videos on how to do it.
Now, other ways are to use micro SD card in your android device (if it has micro SD slot on your device, tons of ways to transfer stuff from android to PC. You can then transfer it to usb stick, or external drives ... to store in different places.
This 26TB is for people that have lots of stuff they want to save, or many computers backups, or media. just one way of doing backup. if it is your personal photos and other family stuff, save it in a few devices , so if one fails you got other backups somewhere.
So many ways to do what you want to do, do youtube search on it, to open your horizons. 7 people responded to your post, it is popular topic.

Important to not let the -clearly written on seller page - 30 days return window expire. Important to reach out through eBay to the seller so you have attempts at resolution in writing (send attempts to yourself also). if there are crickets to my contact messages by the second full business day - contact eBay. 2025.08.25 update: Sabrent confirmed that the shucked version of this hard drive is not compatible with the DS-SC4B because the hard drive is an Enterprise / Archive-class hard drive that has a slightly larger casing than standard consumer 3.5" SATA drives. Sad ending but I was still very impressed with the Sabrent Help Desk response time.

Can anyone confirm that the shucked version of this hard drive will fit in the Mediasonic ProBox HF7-SU31C? Unfortunately I had to return the SABRENT DS-SC4B because the hard drive would not fit. 3/8" was sticking out of the drive bay. Thanks.

Honestly, had to come back to your comment because it doesn't sound right that you say your drive wouldn't fit and by such a small amount. All hard drives (100+) I've had in my hot sweaty hands have been the same size, exactly the same. I'm pretty sure there is a size specification the manufacturers need to go by. I'm thinking you didn't push your drive far back enough to have it seat into the SATA connector correctly.
Also, I'm in florida, so it does get pretty hot in summer, I put a fan pointing into the drive vents ... just to keep the temp in good range, (that is monitored in crystalDiskinfo and alerts me if the temp is critical).

I've seen this same price popping up pretty frequently among different vendors like a merry-go-round (Seagate -> B&H -> Best Buy -> eBay). Is this a tag team event or what? Can't one of them just drop the damn thing down to like $200 for a change?
