I saw 1 review that says it does not come with a cable or plug? Can anyone confirm this review:

"I concur with this "con"-trary customer's quibble: "I think that it's very cheap of Apple that they don't include the proper charging cable or the USB plug. Apple products are so expensive; you should be able to use the products immediately. Instead, I have to go pay more to get a charging cable."'

EDIT: I found the answer, it does NOT come with a charger, nor a charge cable. Just the left and right pod and a case.

I've had horrible experiences with the airpod pro 1 and 2 when it comes to phone calls. I think the noise cancellation and conversation boost and all that nonsense messes up the ability for the other person to hear my clearly. I wonder if these non noise cancellation versions would be much better for phone calls

I have the Airpod Pro 1 as well. I get static every time I speak to someone on the phone, but if I listen to music, it is fine.

Debating on just buying a new set ...

I am in the same predicament, the Pro has static on one ear and fine in the other. My first pair of airpods 2 are still going strong though.

I mean, it says "active noise cancellation available" if you read it and choose that model

Usable, especially since it's the base model w/o ANC. There are some third party apps that restore Apple's blocked functionality on Android devices. You might as well just get a Galaxy Buds 3 for full functionality and integration since they have a very similar design.

its terrible what capitalism does. its supposed to make things better and better value, yet it never happens anymore, just worse and worse quality for higher price.

This also happened to my AirPod Pro 1, cracking staticy in the left ear. I generally just use these in the gym now trying to wear out their little batteries completely. There is no fix that has worked. Purchased Pro 2s and they have been fine. Turning off the ANC helps, but like that's the entire point you got them especially at a noisy place like the gym. It's a shame since even after 3 years the batteries are holding up well.
