We've had this one for several years and it is outstanding. Better than the cordless version, which we also have on a different floor. This newer version does not have the hard floor wide head, which is perfect for steps and hardwood.

I have this unit, it's great for apartments and can get into tight places, under the bed, sofas, etc. It's light weight and the cord is long. The con is the small pick up container and the motorized head does not have a lot of torque and cuts off (LED turns red) when you clean modest high carpet, This machine can do all my needs, and I no longer use my Dyson Animal given the convenience. I do not think its worth $99, I bought it for $34 off of Woot, refurbished.
