I did some research on this, and I think Newegg made a mistake with the game bundle listings. Intel is running two game bundles for Gamers' Day. One is a Standard Offer for the standard BF6, and the other is a Platinum Offer that includes BF6 Phantom and AC Shadows. The standard offer is for CPUs and Arc GPUs only, while the Platinum Offer is for laptops with an Intel Core 14th gen HX or Intel Core Ultra H or HX processor.

https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16800990042 (GPU)
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16800979120 (Laptops)
They copied and pasted the Platinum Offer for all 3 game day bundles.

Very good deal if you have a 12/13th gen Intel CPU to trade in. No real performance difference from my current 13600K but Newegg is offering $140 for it.

No. To unlock the codes you download a utility that checks the CPU model and serial.

This is crazy - just paid $10 total to:
- Upgrade my 13600K to 14600K (meh)
- Get the BF6 bundle that I already paid for and can now refund
- Get AC: Shadows

and all I have to do is replace the processor and send in my 'old' one. Anyone have experience with Newegg's trade-in program?
No but I prefer new egg over any tech site

Well, Intel got a deal with the Gov, and the Gov got a deal with these game companies. I am all to revive Intel. Tbf, my Intel stock has been underperformed, so I need a prop.

Have a 13500 for a server, would consider slight upgrade to this 14600k but dang if I don't trust that Intel fixed the CPU-dying issue completely. I recall that the non-K models are basically excluded from the issues (at least for warranty purposes), but I'm not exactly sure what the root problem is or if the k models could be configured in a way to basically make them safe for long-term use

Intel released new power profiles for motherboard manufacturers. As long as your motherboard has this updated microcode and you have this profile selected then they are considered safe.

I still get blue screens on my 13600k with latest Asus BIOS, though it could be the memory or motherboard. I was planning on sending it in for warranty anyway so this works well - and extends my warranty by 2.5 years since I got the 13600k in Dec 2022.

Yeah it's a degenerative issue. If you've already been running outside of that new profile then your CPU is probably effected. I would definitely send that CPU in if it has BSOD issues.

Yeah I followed the news/updates but am still seeing reports that the issues persist. As you commented elsewhere though it might be due to damage incurred prior to the updates...hard to say, especially since Intel hasn't been very open/communicative about it

Does this for sure come with the phantom edition plus assassins creed shadows? Other retailers seem to be indicating the standard battlefield edition and no AC Shadows.

I've been planning a build around the i7-12700k. I wasn't even going to look at 13th or 14th gen because of the still reported issues but this seems like an amazing deal. Would I be dumb to go for this instead of the 12700k?

Hmm, $90 for my 12600K... I'm pretty happy with it still but thats a cheap upgrade. I would have to upgrade my CPU cooler since its already maxed out with the 12600k

This is a great deal if Intel doesn't introduce the new socket type.
