I had to RMA my 14700k and regardless of the extended warranty period you still lose $30 if you cross-ship, time to drive over and drop off the broken one, they keep your (retail) money for like 2-3 weeks. before refunding.
If my math is right, buying this to resell and keep the game basically saves you about $30 on the game vs just buying it for $70 on release. You pay $150+ tax, sell for $150 (maybe), urlhasbeenblocked fees, add shipping, add aggravation plus possible scammers, and boom: a measly $30. If you're buying bc you need the cpu it makes sense

I purchased this while they had the original Platinum bundle advertised. I contacted Newegg to see if they could provide any compensation and they offered a $29 refund if I kept it, or a $29 credit on a future purchase if I wanted to return the CPU.

at least you got $29, they only offered me $15, even though i told them the price difference from one bundle to the other was $120
