chargers are hella cheap, and usually pretty easy to source below msrp. like mannishboy mentioned, FB marketplace is a good place, as well as ebay.

It's not. However...!

There's another version of the tool with a 'add battery' that's hackable. It's $199 with the batteries (25 more than this) BUT they are separate items cart and the tool comes to $120.73 plus tax if you return the batteries.

Just FYI, this thing is way under-powered unless you use the 5ah HO battery, then it's okayish. I have it and I use it maybe once or twice a year, very very niche tool. Hopefully some day they release a version 2 with more torque, but in the mean time it has trouble loosening anything over maybe 80 ft. lbs.

I'll have to try this, it sucked with the 4.0/6.0 the few times I've broken it out and ended up feeling like what I thought would be a super useful tool was one of the least useful tools I had bought.

Looks like the bare-tool price went up to $229 shortly after I placed my order. Now showing as $148.48 + $82.52 for the battery which is about the same $ as I found it bare-tool at walmart.
