I wonder why so many rangefinders have been on cracking sales lately. I like that this one has magnets in it so it can post up to a cart rail. +1 for a Golf deal! They seem to go for $25-60 on sale now. Bonkers. I'll need one soon probably.

I've only played one round with mine so far but I'd say it is worth it. It was within a yard or 2 of my friends bushnell rangefinder. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it came with a rigid case with a carabiner to clip to the outside of my golf bag.

I bought this in a previous deal. I find it is on average about 10 yards longer than other golf range finders. It works for the average golfer to get a good rough estimate of distance if you are not around the distance markers.

I'm not a golfer, but an archer. I need a range finder to measure the distance to targets. It seems all the hunting/archery range finder are always more expensive than golf ones. Does anyone know if there's any major difference? I'm hoping I can save some money and use this instead. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Main difference is target priority. Golf specific settings on a range finder will prioritize front to pick up a pin flag ahead of the surrounding trees/brush. Hunting settings is typically opposite to prioritize picking up back target priority.

Most golf range finders have a setting to toggle these type of settings, not sure on the one listed but most of my Bushnell rangefinders have it.

you must've gotten a defective one. usually laser rangefinders even the knockoffs are accurate to a couple yards. stability and ability to grab the pins without the prizm is another issue. also if it's misty or foggy these will have more trouble imo. also if u magnet it onto the cart leave the case in a cup holder so u remember to put it back in before leaving.

Ok, not a fan of the white.

Also, im sure it works great for just about any range finding application, I'd prefer it MENTIONED a hunting, outdoor sports, or targeting purpose.

Therefore, i went searching and ended up buying this 1000yd model for $35 instead.

It's camo-colored and mentions a "hunting mode". What that is, who knows?

But i prefer the color scheme, so trading 200yds of range finding was worth it.

I had no idea i was gonna be buying a range finder today... You guys cost me SO MUCH MONEY!

I bought this a couple months ago and it's great. Can take a few extra seconds to get a lock on the pin, but will give you a pretty accurate distance before it locks. Just a heads up, it comes in meters by default, so make sure to change it to yards if you use yards. I was about to send it back after two weeks before I noticed.

I have one but I'm not sure it works. It says 300 yards even after four or five strokes.
