I suggest sticking with regular Heinz ketchup (the one with corn syrup). I've tasted both, and regular Heinz wins.

Is it me or is this shrinkage again at work? Last time it was 20 ounces. So this is Heinz' way of getting us to not notice?

I've had both too and Simply is fine. Why would anyone deliberately choose HFCS?

Big Corn Syrup is at it again!

I'll give it a try, works out to about the same price at BJs, $9.99 for the 44oz 2 pack (currently has additional $2 off coupon) so if it's good I'll get more there

Corn syrup is just another type of sugar. Eat whatever you prefer but it's subjective

I'm unclear is corn syrup is as bad as high fructose corn syrup, but I avoid both and go for sugar. I know for a fact high fructose corn syrup is processed through completely different metabolic pathways than sugar. It's strange science. That is why a decade back they had a big long ad campaign brainwashing you that. ' Sugar is sugar' (because it completely isn't but they need you to not think that). It is linked to many serious health conditions.

I bought Hunts Natural and neither my wife nor I like it so it's to be used cooking (natural BBQ sauce, etc.)

It's really quite simple. Just remember the "1st Rule of Journalism".... "Follow the money."

1. Corn is cheap and plentiful. Really quite easy to figure out that one.

2. America is one of the only modern, developed countries in the world that DOESN'T have universal healthcare, opting instead to use a "for-profit" healthcare model.

When suffering and treating that suffering is monetized, there's zero incentive to avoid the root causes of the suffering. In fact, just the opposite. It's encouraged. Actually, mandated by law if the company is publicly traded -- shareholders have a legal right to ensure a company always chooses revenue-generating behavior.

And it's not like a little old company or entire country's government ever fibbed just so a precious few could benefit.

So remember, next time you go into the bathroom, verbally exclaim: "Ooooo! Corn!" Because that's how common it is, and that's how it'll make you feel.
