unlikely, they make cans for that that typically have two "sealing points" one of which is usually some sort of guillotine type contraption to really keep the stank in and then a second door or flap.

I think this is for wipes and diapers. I know in a lot of Asian countries this practice can be a norm in certain situations with weaker plumbing.

and wipes and toilet paper.

its too small for much anything else. You couldnt fit a big meat tray in it so for the kitchen anything short defeats the purpose. The (larger) air tight prevent flies from coming in an breeding in food, this might work for anything short of a large meat tray.

overkill. I have a not so sealed one and I keep a air freshner in the top. I might need a sealed one if the bathroom had a window, i know my cooking and food left out brings all the flies to the kitchen.but the air fresherer in a kinda sealed can covers the smell to *me* untill a couple weeks/almost full.

Yes, it's tiny & measurements aren't given. There's another brand in white that's $30 for 2, and the dimensions are 7.0" W, 9.8" W, 12.2" H. That's very small!!

I agree with above comment. Read reviews on lots of trash cans - so many of them have terrible closing lids. I'm sending one back today. 😬
