Good deal. It was $3,500 last week at Costco, but the price dropped to $2,299 today pretty much everywhere.
When I bought a Samsung TV about six years ago, Samsung EDU offered free (or low cost) white glove delivery which included unboxing the TV and installing the stand. I did not see that offered anymore. Has anyone been able to get Samsung to unbox the TV and install the stand recently? They do offer Delivery + Wall Mount Installation, but the cost is $120. LG and Costco offer the unbox and stand installation for $30 or less.

If you contact support you can get the mounting promo code so they don't charge for that. I did that for my last qn90d I got with edu

Does it seem like this version avoids the power supply issues frequently mentioned plaguing the 77" S90D? Or people have thoughts on whether it's worth paying extra for the F other than the reassurance it's less likely to become a warranty claim in a few months?

I never knew the S90D model had the power charging issue. Thats the model I'm eyeing now that the F is out, hoping to score the 77" closer to the $1k range now (open box or refurbished)

Unfortunately if you check nearly any retailer that includes customer reviews (Best Buy, Amazon, Samsung, etc.) they all include multiple complaints particularly for the 77" about power supply issues either making the tv unable to turn on, knocking out the display, or tripping circuit breakers a few months or less into owning. Many also say that they have Samsung do warranty repairs which replaces the power supply with an updated part that should resolve the issue but your tv is basically a ticking warranty bomb until you can get the repair. Not sure if there's a way to identify if a unit got the new power supply installed when it was manufactured.

I am torn between LG C5 and this one (for 77 inch). Seems like i should just go for LG in that case.

I've had my 77 s90d since January and I haven't had any issues.(December build I believe) I don't think this is a problem "plaguing the 77' S90D". I think this was just a bad batch of power supplies.

Something to be aware of but it shouldn't cross the s90d off your list it's been an amazing TV and I'm saying this as someone that has had multiple LG and Sony oleds

I agree this post makes me lean towards the LG as well but fwiw this power supply issue on the S90D is the first I've heard of this issue. also you mentioned the c5 but how much better is it that the C4 because that's got some great pricing right now ( $1500 new at microcenter, $1800 at Costco w/ a 5 year warranty plus some small upgrades on their particular model). I'd prob go with the Costco one because the cash back on Costco Visa and executive member makes the price diff smaller.

I really appreciate this response. These TVs involve quite the chunk of change, and it's easy to get wrapped up in both comparing realistically minuscule differences between models and anecdotal comments. Your last sentence is probably the right way to approach assessing whether to purchase.

This or S95D for slightly more? Leaning towards s90f since it's a newer model but my room gets a lot of light, so glare is an issue.

Why this over LG C4/C5? Esp if you have access to LG members deal.
