I have the older model, snns or something like that. Totally worth it. I use it at night since everyone is asleep. Game changer. Hearing steps go from left to right is super trippy. Also if you have a Bravia TV its even better.

I have both, the older model srs ns7 and this Bravia theater u. The older model has more bass, really awesome for action movies and gaming, I also like the neck band on the older one because it's thicker so it doesn't feel like it's sliding around. The theater u has a cleaner sound and lighter in weight, it's produces a cleaner sound, great for music and podcast, the neckband is way thinner and it's some kind of rubber silicone material, it's grippy but I prefer the thicker neck band.

interesting because the thick neck band is very annoying when laying your head down or back against a pillow or anything. BUT it's all opinion and comfort varies. pity to hear about lack of bass. I enjoy my ns7 and was hoping this would be equal and better across the board. I ordered it and will find out in few days

$198 for neck speaker? really? i've been happy with my $20+ temu/ali neck BT speaker for the past 5 years. I use mine everyday for walking, biking and watching the game and the news on TV. Not great for watching marvel type movies but good enough for my needs. I guess if you're an audiophile 198+ would make sense but for me it just doesn't. "To each his own" i guess.
then might as well stay off SD because there's always an ali equivalent of practically everything under the sun

this gotta be one of the wildest things ive ever seen, really pushing the limits of what people will spend money on LOL. Who TF wants to wear a speaker on their shoulders? In what way is this better than wearing bluetooth headphones???
in almost every way...no sweaty ears, no penetration, healthier, and infinitely more natural. It obvious you have never tried it. It what the future of sound beam tech will be in years to come, without needing to wear anything. of course headphones will be headphones and have use cases,
This is a personal device limited to one person that provides zero audio privacy. Everyone around you can hear what you are listening to, albeit at a much lower quality. This means that it's only realistically used if you are alone. If you are alone, at $200-$300, you could get a full blown starter home theater system with much higher quality speakers and sound, that is also customizable and upgradeable. At this price point this device makes zero sense unless you are alone in a large area that requires you to move through multiple rooms constantly, or if you are someone who cannot tolerate headphones. If you don't want to bother others sleeping then just simply turn down the volume and read subtitles like every other normal person. There is no world where people will be constantly walking around with speakers on their shoulders.

Agree with this. The only other use case to get this might be if your home has bad acoustics for a regular speaker.

If you don't mind used opened box version, I bought one from Best Buy 3 months ago for $118.51 (excellent). It came in a throw-away cardboard box brand new anyway.
thanks. got the same deal.
