the dual motor may held more weight ( can also be due to the fact that they may put cheap knockoff motor), but the top part may broke depending how thin you put, and also it can be liability and warranty wide reason ( i.e, you put too much weight that burned motor, so its you (customer) fault rather than the manufacturer

EDIT: I ordered this desk from Amazon (same price as Walmart) and am returning the Roboticious one. Reasons:
1. Dual motor
2. Known brand name (Costway). The "Roboticious" desk arrived and the box is labeled "Bewatec." Upon research, this company makes hospital beds and has a good reputation for that, but not much of a reputation for desks. The three reviews on Amazon are all paid/Amazon Vine. ChatGPT shows seemingly no good process for warranty claims on the Roboticious since even their website is hard to find.
3. The Roboticious desk is 27 lb. The Costway is 45 lb. The weight difference cannot be dual to the additional motor, so the frame has to be burlier on the Costway.
4. The biggest con is that the listed weight capacity is less (176 lb vs 225 lb) but given the uncertainly of the Robotiocous, who knows if that weight capacity is even correct.
I did get the Asurion 3 year extended warranty from Amazon for $8.99.

Looking to make a custom Black Walnut desk top so I'm in the market for something like this. I dont mind paying a premium if there's something much better, just haven't done the research yet.
Any recoomendations?

Also two-part legs will be less stable than 3-part legs.

I have built two Sit/Stand Desks so far.
My wife's is a super heavy duty triple motor L desk that used a frame from Monoprice and I built the top out of 3/4" plywood, and then covered in vinyl. This let me build a huge 7'x7' desk and customize it to her for looks.
For my second desk, in my studio is a frame more like this that came from Amazon, and for that I am using 1" thick rubber wood (looks like butcher block) and that came from Home Depot as it was made for kitchen counter usage I think or perhaps garage worktable as its indestructible and quite heavy.
At this price I almost want to get a 3rd just to have on hand, but curious what table tops you are thinking about from RD?
