it's small, but more maneuverable to tend to the whole bed. Try gardening a 4x8 bed and it's a lot of walking and reaching.

Purchased this brand last December to replace old rotten wood beds with the same raised space for my garden. They were in 2 packs for $39.99. Tedious to put together but not hard. Tighten them all well with a drill and pliers. Work great for my basil and other pizza sauce herbs. This is an ok price in terms of deals.

Brand seems to be good build quality, regardless of price. When dumping a wagon load of soil into them, they'll give a bit, but bend right back into place easily.

You can literally use a hole in the ground to compost, so yes. Tho even tho it's galvanized, I'd expect it to rust somewhat more quickly if you are composting with it rather than gardening.
